Intelligent battery charger with 4 steps switch-mode technology, incl. overcharge protection. The ?SMART Charger? battery charger can charge your battery quicker than all other common charger. The compact construction makes the fitting at motor-homes, caravans and boats easier. Optionally acid, gel or AGM batteries can be charged. In-built LEDs show the particular functionality. While connecting the optional panels the correct battery capacity can be checked anytime even at covered mounting. 1st.step: the battery will be charged with high power and ?revitalised? .This makes sure that the battery will be always charged full (duration max 30 minutes). 2nd.step: the battery will be charged with the maximum power of the charger until the battery has reached the absorptions voltage. The absorptions voltage can be chosen at the charger depending on the type of battery. (V data: 14.2 / 14.6 / 14.8 VDC) 3rd step: with the increase of the battery voltage the charge current will be reduced step by step. For the batteries' protection (overload) the 3rd step is limited to 6 hours. 4th step: the battery is charged to approx. 85% of its capacity. The charge current will be reduced and hold on a constantly level until it is fully charged. The voltage can be adjusted by selecting the type of battery (acid/gel/AGM).
