Air awning, inflatable awnings
Whether T5 inflatable awning or inflatable bus awning, inflatable caravan awning.
Air tubes instead of tent poles - Buy the new generation!
Buy air awnings from Tent Technology, Outdoor Revolution or Westfield - here are our air awning manufacturers at a glance!

  •     Tent Technology, under this label Reimo has been producing awnings for T5 and other air awnings for some time. The air awnings are developed and tested in Germany and then commissioned in the Far East. This enables us to offer you high-quality air awnings with a very good price-performance ratio.
  •     Outdoor Revolution is perhaps a little less known on the market, but we couldn't get past this British manufacturer of air awnings. The air awnings for buses and caravans, adapted to the weather conditions on the island, are definitely worth a second look. High-quality materials and innovative details make holidays with the air awning a pleasure even in "watery areas".
  •     Westfield is one of the best-known manufacturers of inflatable caravan awnings and air awnings. The innovative Westfield Air Erect System (AES) guarantees extremely easy handling of your air awning.

These manufacturers should have the right air or air awning ready for almost every taste!

An inflatable awning- the quick solution
No more struggling with poles when pitching your tent - that's no longer a dream with an air awning. Sorting through the many tent poles has come to an end with the invention of inflatable awnings or air awnings. Building with poles and according to markings is a thing of the past with an air awning. There are fewer complicated awning set-up plans. It's always fun to watch the neighbours at the campsite spend hours setting up the awning. Sorry, setting up an awning is one of the most strenuous activities on a caravan, van or motorhome holiday. In the past, an hour of your precious holiday time would easily go by for pitching, the time saved with an air awning creates a bit more holiday for you. Setting up a conventional tent nicely and tying it down securely takes time. With the inflatable awnings, the air awnings, the time required is reduced considerably. With a little practice, you can set-up and secure your inflatable caravan awning or inflatable bus awning in just a few minutes.

Your inflatable awning for motorhome, caravan and camper van
- Space for the whole family
The spacious air awning offers room for five to six people, depending on the model. If necessary, the spacious living area of the air awning can be used as an additional sleeping space. A special plus: sewn-in floors in the air awning not only protect against draughts and moisture, but also against insects. A comfortable standing height of 210 cm in the air awning ensures sufficient headroom. The waterproofness and tear-resistant materials will convince you. The air awning is a robust and reliable holiday companion. The air hoses of the air awning and the partially triple coating of these withstand heavy use without any problems. In the rare event of a leak, you can easily patch or replace the air chambers of an air awning.

Caravan or motorhome awning inflatable
-How do air awnings work with air beams?
Air awnings, inflatable caravan, bus or motorhome awnings are basically quicker to set up. They are easy to handle even for the camping layman. Less time spent setting up your air awning means more holidays without the stress of leisure time. It is easier to pitch your air awning with two people, but a single person can certainly manage to pitch an air awning. Either way, in no time at all your new air awning will be perfectly in place with the help of a pump. The construction phase of an air awning is clear, unpack the air awning, spread it out, attach the lock with keder rail to the VW bus, your van or to the caravan. Connect the pump to the air awning, fill it with air, brace the air awning, attach the pegs and poles, and you're done! The cosy part of your holiday can begin in no time with an air awning.
Dismantling your air awning is a simple matter of untwisting the pegs, opening the safety catch, removing the vehicle lock, pulling out the pegs and then packing up the air awning. All that remains is to fold the air awning and stow it in the packing bag. Too bad there is no automation for this yet!
Separate or interconnected air beams replace the poles of your air awning. Westfield pulls off the air tube theme in the inflatable awning 100%. The only poles in the pack are the poles for the canopy. With the Westfield air awning, but now also with various air tents from Tent Technology and Outdoor Revolution, you only connect the pump once. The innovative Air Tube System of the air awning ensures even air distribution through all chambers of your air awning. Tent Technology has opted for an intermediate solution for some air awnings for reasons of price, stability and weight. Here, only the long ribs of the air awning can be filled with air. This saves a little weight on the air awning. For the stiffeners in the roof area of the inflatable awning, Tent Technology continues to use short poles. These stabilise your air awning horizontally and save weight & pack size.

Air awnings for T4, T5, T6, caravan and motorhome
Air awnings are available to buy in different versions, of course for T4, T5 and T6, the Transit, Ducato and other motorhomes and panel vans. At Tent Technology you pump up the air ribs of many air awnings individually. If an accident happens and the ribs of the air awning have a hole, it is no problem to replace or repair the individual airbeam. With Tent Technology air awnings, you connect the air pump individually for each air rib. You can recognise good air tubes by the standard overpressure valve. In the event of overheating due to sunlight, the airbeams of your air awning automatically equalise the pressure. By the way, when you buy your air awning, the matching pump is included in the delivery of the air awning. Your air awning comes to a standstill with just a few strokes of the air. The optimum pressure in the air hose of the air awning is 7psi or more simply: just under 0.5 bar. Air awnings can also be used in winter. However, if there is a lot of snow, the headroom in the air awning may be restricted. But, as soon as the snow is removed from the air awning, the airbeams will straighten up again and the inflatable air awning will be as good as new. If you are looking for a well-insulated awning, you will certainly find what you are looking for in the winter awning category.

The Air inflatable bus awning - what are the advantages?

We would like to make it easier for you to decide which air awning to buy, here are a few "pros and cons".
The Pros:

  •     Compared to a normal tunnel tent, air awnings can be set up quickly.
  •     No more poking through the bends with long poles, no more broken or damaged poles with an air awning.
  •     The air chambers of an air awning are more flexible than poles. With a tent that moves with the wind, no poles break. This means that the risk of damage to air awnings for caravans and camping buses is low in storms and adverse weather conditions (snow breakage).
  •     Air awnings are lightweight, the heavy pole bag is a thing of the past.
  •     Many work steps such as gathering poles and covering the tarpaulin no longer exist with the air awning - roll out the air awning, pull it into the piping strip and inflate. With tensioning, it takes less than 15 minutes to set up an air awning - with a little practice.

The Cons:

  •     The pressure in the air chambers of the air awning varies due to temperature fluctuations. If there is too much pressure, the overpressure valve reacts; on a hot day with a cold night, the ribs of the air awning can become soft. However, this is quickly corrected with one or two pump strokes.
  •     Bending in the wind affects the size inside the air awning a little. Stiff breezes sometimes restrict headroom.
  •     The pack size of the awning skin of an air awning is larger.
  •     You must not forget the pump or your compressor for the air awning.
  •     Due to the more complex production, air awnings cost their price.
