Caravan accessories from AL-KO
Whether AKS, ECS, Safety Compact, spare wheel holder or Optima cable winch, here you will find everything to keep your caravan on track and safe!
The AL-KO company offers you everything you need for your caravan. In this category we have tried to cover the wide range of products in the ALKO caravan sector. It ranges from spare wheel holders, car jacks and caravan supports to the excellent Mammut manoeuvring aid, which you will find in the manoeuvring aid category. You will find the Alko anti-skid couplings in direct comparison with Winterhoff and other manufacturers in our category for caravan anti-skid systems.
How does an AKS, an ALKO coupling work?
The normal towball coupling heads are the front end of the trailer and are clamped onto the trailer ball on the car, camping bus or caravan. The coupling heads are standardised, the best-known manufacturers are AL-KO and Winterhoff.
The AL-KO coupling is easy to operate and prevents the trailer from rocking due to friction.
The safety couplings from AL-KO, such as the AKS 3004, show by colour whether the AL-KO coupling is properly seated. A red wear indicator shows whether the brake shoes are worn and need to be replaced.
At AL-KO, the abbreviation AKS stands for Anti-Schlinger-Kupplung. The numbers behind it indicate the weight class of the caravan for which the clutch is suitable.
