Which wheel should I buy - solid rubber, air filled or plastic?
Whether you should buy a training wheel with air, solid rubber, air-filled or made of plastic? That is a good question! First of all, it is a question of price, the support wheel with air-filled wheels is a little more expensive, but more comfortable. Manoeuvring is a little easier with the jockey wheel. But, the air filling needs to be controlled. We would not recommend air-filled training wheels for long periods of standing. A solid rubber or plastic jockey wheel is more than sufficient. Also pay attention to the maximum drawbar load. A support wheel with solid rubber tyres can withstand the highest drawbar load.
Clamps for the trailer wheel
Clamps for the support wheel are available in various designs. Clamps for the support wheel are available in 35mm, 48mm and 60mm versions. Please make sure which diameter you need for your jockey wheel.
Wheels, spare tyres for the jockey wheel
Of course, you can also buy replacement wheels for your jockey wheel. Whether plastic, solid rubber or air-filled, you are sure to find what you are looking for here. The rim is made of steel or plastic, depending on the permitted load of the jockey wheel.
Retrofitting a double support wheel
Double support wheels can be easily retrofitted. The two wheels with the universal axle can normally be simply exchanged for the existing support wheel. The double support wheel is quickly attached with the quick-release safety cotter. This jockey wheel is very well suited for "deep terrain", i.e. loose and/or wet ground.
Support tubes or support feet for trailers and caravans
Support tubes or support feet for caravans or horse trailers stabilise your drawbar where no support wheel is necessary. For longer standing caravans, for example, a support tube with crank makes perfect sense. The support tube with crank supports your drawbar, with the crank you regulate the height until you have a level surface in your caravan.
